Notes: When you are commenting, remember the forum rules. That means no rude arrogant jerks.
- The DeBrincat trade might be a little stretch. Kubalik and the 1st and 3rd I think would fly but maybe Yzerman resists the 5th thrown in. Don't know.
- Yeah the LA trade is crazy. Don't know much about LA. Just saw two kings fans say they needed better LD. Ottawa would have to take back salary temp basis so LA can fit this in. They would also want something for the future but a guy who can play now hence Kaliyev. Roy would fit in on the RD because Chychrun would have to move back to the left. Don't know if LA would do this so don't crap all over it because I'm just guessing.
- The Chicago trade is to help them get to the cap floor next year with players that are on expiring contracts within the next 4 years closer to their rebuild being done so the young guys can come up. Raddysh is the same age as DeBrincat but scores less and they still traded DeBrincat.
- The Bratt trade is really heavily dependent on if the devils can afford him. Word is they are going after Meir 1st. We will see what room they have left.
- The signed UFA goalie and the vegas goalie both come from teams that have two guys ahead of them locked up on contracts so why not come to Ottawa. They both have better stats so far than all the Ottawa goalies but only a little nhl time each. But you now have 4 young goalies that are decent possibilities for your starter and backup with time to test them all. And you still have Forseburg.

Why on earth would the Kings gut their secondary core to take on an overpaid defensive liability offensive defenseman who can't even put up 50 points playing with Tkachuk, Giroux, Stutzle, etc, along with all the garbage you added on top of him.

Devils have already made an offer to Bratt. But they have plenty of cap space for both guys.

Hawks decline. TRad is one of their two remaining legit trade chips (Murphy). Hawks would be open to trading him for the right sort of package. This isn't it. The value is more than fair, but the Hawks want early picks or young prospects. Nothing in the proposed package does anything to move their rebuild along unless the Hawks do a boatload more work to find trade partners for those 3 players. They'll have no problem reaching the cap floor by signing one or two UFA's and acquiring one or two bad contracts.

I don't see how that makes your trade proposal any less ridiculous.

Its called "not being a dick" in your comment. You could have done it without being a dick.
That part is rather obvious.

No wonder you have McSorely as your pic.

Good points. So what do you think will get him? A third or a second? Or something else.?

Honestly, if your talking about this off season, it probably takes a significant overpay. I'm not gonna suggest pick #12 in this draft, but an unprotected '24 1st, or maybe a couple of 2nd's at a minimum. I'm not really sure any more after the Jeannot to Tampa trade.

How about a second and like a 5th maybe?
Yeah that Jeannot trade was uhm .... different to say the least.

Can't see the Hawks taking a 2nd and a 5th this off season. That's not an overpay. Hawks just hold on to him and see what he brings at the TDL.

It's cool to see how different players might fit into new teams, though it's a speculative endeavor cookie clicker
