I'm struggling to see how that's relevant. Besides Keefe plays kampf with minutes left too.
Its the players
You can't blame the core under Babcock because A) they were never given a chance to thrive and B) the were in their what 1st, 2nd and 3rd years in the league at that time going up against vastly better teams.
I don't really care about the bubble year. Best of 5 with a new coach in a broken season. Whatever
Vs Montreal exactly what is killing TO now killed us then. Turnovers giving the opposition quick strike offence and a hot goalie. Keefe did nothing to address those issues and made zero adjustments then.
Vs Tampa last year, it was a coin flip but TO had the lead in the series and didn't make any adjustments after Tampa made theirs in games 6 and 7.
Vs Tampa this year, Tampa was the better team. Cooper for two straight years completely out coached him but the Leafs lucked out, almost entirely on the shoulders of the big 4. Matthews, JT and Rielly mainly.
Vs Florida same as Montreal but we got goalied later in the series vs Montreal but same thing, the same turnovers gave Montreal all the offence they needed.
Keefe just hasn't been able to make the adjustments he needs to succeed in the playoffs. In the regular season your reinforce and lock down the system and in the playoffs you have to be able to adapt to what the opposition gives you and it'll change over a 7 game series. What has TO done differently in this series or last for that matter. Changed out a player or two and do exactly the same thing as last game, but nothing else.
It's the coach
