The Zuccarello trade, sure (if the Rossi-Tomasino swap is meant to be part of that, it's not as lopsided though). WSH might not sell Wilson for that, but an unprotected 1st from a non-playoff team has to be somewhat enticing. Other than that, I think NSH loses most of the other deals by a small margin. They're getting supremely hosed on the back half of Karlsson's contract here.

Detroit declines. Doesn't move the needle.

You think Nash is losing the Buf trade? That’s something. 3 AHL players for JJP seems like a very good deal for them.

I goofed - I misread the OP's proposal and thought NSH was sending a 2nd, not a 5th. Personally, I'd rather have the 2nd than Peterka, but get that BUF fans could disagree. The other pieces in addition to the 2nd would have sent the value to BUF considerably over the top.

Three AHLers, though? That's a bit of a dishonest spin on things, don't you think? It's a solid bottom six prospect, an above average backup who'd definitely upgrade BUF between the pipes, and a 1ace punching 13th forward. You make it sound like BUF is getting a fistful of Sean Malones.

Lankinen has played 88 games at age 27, McCarron has 26 points by age 28, and Egor is a decent bottom six prospect I guess.

I’m not gonna get into the JJP slander here, but if you’d rather have a second rounder than a 21 year old with a ppg AHL season and a near .5 ppg season under his belt, idk what to tell ya. That’s better than at least 50% of first rounders by age 21 and my guess would be closer to 75/80%.

Wonder where peterka would go in a re-draft. He's probably top 15, maybe top 10. It would take something significant to move him.

Yeah, I'd rather NSH uses that 2nd on a position of need instead of trading for an upcoming middle-six winger, when they already have Tomasino, Evangelista, L'Heureux, Kemell, Schaefer, etc.

FWIW, Peterka is neither a PPG AHL player nor is a 34 point pace close to 0.5 PPG.

32/77 games. .4155 ppg. I’d call that close with the minutes he plays. And 2 points off of being a full ppg in the A.
As for wanting the 2nd for a position of need fine, but that’s not what you said, or at least framed it at first. Have to think of Nash GM was offered JJP for their second he’d jump immediately

I'm not sure how many other interpretations there could be to: "Personally, I'd rather have the 2nd than Peterka, but get that BUF fans could disagree.". Regardless, we're arguing over what was originally a misread of the proposal on my part. It's silly. I'm glad BUF fans are happy with their player. I hope both of our teams are back in the playoffs next season.

Minnesota says no to both of them.

Rossi would probably warrant a 1st rd pick.

Zuccy is not getting traded. Minnesota would not do that
