Why are the Sabres suppose to accept that offer. Add Ehlers and Lucius and Buffalo might consider this trade

The difference between Dach and Dubois is a 2nd tops but more likely a 3rd, not a 1st. Habs obviously very easily pass

Ottawa is better just letting Hamonic walk and not taking Dillon. They don't need him as their 5th best LHD and paying him 3.9mil on the cap would be insane given Ottawa's cap situation

Respect for adding on WPGs side, but I don't think Habs trade Dach until they see what plays on this season and see what are his upsides. If he clearly still has 80+ point upside, MTL would decline

I would have to think if Mtl was offered PLD and a first for Dach they’d jump. But that’s just me.

The other thing is Dubios was already paid for this season so there isn't any retention to be had and if it was meant for next year you can't sign a player then trade him with retention in the same offseason that is called cap circumvention lol

I misread the trade, as I stated I have seen a lot of Dach + 1st for PLD today lol

Edit *** they definitely would be all over that but like I said about Dach the difference between him isn't a 1st (from either side)

I try not to pretend like I know everything and listen to people's advice. Looking for legitimate solutions vs. appeasing an unrealistic delusion lol. Just waiting for Canucks fans to chime in and tear my trade apart. For example, based on the debate above over the PLD for Dach + 1st rd, i get the sense there could be potential.
