Seems like obscene overpayments to both Clifton and Suter. As EDM, I would offer you Ceci for a mid-round pick, which saves 1.5mil and 2 years, and then advise you save an extra 1.5 to 2mil on a better fit as 4C. Beyond that, I don't imagine WPG gives up Ehlers without getting a '23 1st + a key prospect (think Wallinder over Johansson) in return.

Hall and Gudas are both good targets, though!

Ehlers misses too many games for my liking. Good player but I wouldn't trade for him. Stevie isn't paying Chiarot almost 5 mil AAV to sit in the press box. LOL

If Stevie wanted Suter back I think he would've been signed to a contract extension during the season. But that's just my opinion.

Kasper is a rookie and isn't ready for 2C yet. I don't see Hall waiving his NTC/NMC for Detroit.

Make the 2nd your ‘23 and it’s a deal.

Chariot was by far our worst player last season and I think Lalonde and Yzerman saw that. Everyone, including Yzerman, knows what a mistake it was to sign him.
Good read about Suter! Looks like he won't be resign.

I had no problem with Chiarot. He's overpaid yes. But that's the tradeoff in UFA. You pay too much AAV and term but give up no assets other than cap space. Chiarot wasn't our worst player last season.

Ned (early in the season), Lindstrom, Hagg were awful. If what you said about Chiarot were true then he wouldn't have played as many minutes (20:37 AVG) or games (76) as he did. So it seems like you're talking from your arse on that one.

Love to add hall, Hes perfect fit for Larkin, pass first high skill and great wheels. Ehlers isn't as productive as people like to think he is. He isn't worth that much.

It wouldn't surprise me if Kasper starts on the wing at the beginning of the season.

Larkin started on the wing his first season too. But he had the luxury of Zetterberg being his C.

Well Larkin was a wing until Zetterberg retired with the USNDPT he played wing for Eichel and Matthews mostly and primarily a wing at U of M.

I think we will have to agree to disagree about Chariot. Both Lindstrom and Hagg were awful, agree on that one!
