This doesn't look too far off from what will probably happen, unless Donny acts really boldly. I think Hall would fetch more. Reilly and Forbort should be worth at least 3rds or 4ths, they capable NHL defensemen and the 3m hit isn't too bad. I don't think Krejci is back however I think he wanted to get that point plateau and make one more run with Bergy. he can go make a million at home in a much easier environment. and Center is going to be an issue. I kinda think it makes more sense to move Ullmark - his value is skyhigh, and a defensemen or package Grzy and Hall in a bigger hockey deal.

Taylor Hall isn't waiving for one of the worst teams in the NHL, And Anaheim isn't surrendering the 33OA pick in a deep draft for him.

Columbus accepts. Seems like a perfect fit. He brings grit, plays on the left, and has the perfect amount of term remaining. Don't know that he'd accept the trade, though.

It'll probably cost more to dump Reilly, and Milwaukee's blueline is already pretty full. NSH declines.

Honestly all of the trades are cap dumps that I tried to make realistic. Didn't think of the fact that the ANA pick is 33 overall. Adjust the prices as necessary and even the teams, I'm just saying those are the three I'm shipping out to make cap. Send Hall anywhere that'll give us at least a 2nd for him and I think the B's will have gotten decent value.

Reilly I think is still NHL caliber and now that it's only a year left of term, I do think you can package him with a 4th to clear the space. Maybe Arizona? They're always game to get to the floor.

Abandoning the rotation killed the Bruins in the playoffs. I'm trying to keep that goalie rotation if at all possible, so I really don't want to use Ullmark just to clear cap space. 5m for a potential vezina winner is cheap money.

I'm hoping 1 of Bergeron or Krejci decides to come back for Marchy's sake and they take cheap money. If both retire, we are well and truly screwed. Coyle is not a 1C. If he's between Bertuzzi and Pasta, I think you can make an argument that Zacha can be a poor-man's 1C on a line that doesn't need him to be the driver. But without one of 37/46 we'd need to clear yet more space to bring in a free agent center.

This will be a developmental year for the Ducks, so Anaheim wouldn't be interested in two seasons of Taylor Hall even if we were talking about giving you your 2023 second back.

We would accept that deal for Reilly even if it was Boston's 2024 pick instead of the 2023.

Updated the Hall trade. Chicago has a glut of picks and will need to replace production from Kane/Toews, plus with their own really high pick they'll have a potential franchise piece to entice Hall to waive for.

Hall's not waiving for Chicago, and the Hawks aren't giving up picks to acquire him even if he does waive. Unless Hawks end up w/ Bedard, whoever they draft at 2-5 won't play in the NHL next season. Hawks plan is to use their "glut of picks" to select their own prospects to develop. They won't start trading for guys like Hall until their prospects are established in the NHL and they need to fill a specific need.

I see the Preds using their cap space to take on a less than desirable contract or two, then flipping those players at the deadline. Reilly doesn't make sense to me though, because without a glut of injuries he'd never get into the Preds lineup. With Trotz being familiar with NYI players, I could see a deal for an Isles forward this summer. Maybe someone like Bailey gets moved with a draft pick, to free up some cap space for them.
