Yzerman is no stranger to moving up in drafts (Cossa). But I think he values draft picks too much to make this trade.

The statistical value of the draft picks 41,42,43,116 is actually slightly less than the statistical value of 18 or 19 by itself. But the sheer quantity in this draft is hard to give up.

I just really like the idea of having three top 20 picks in this draft.

Jets decline we need more firsts not less. Idc if we can get more value in the picks the quality of prospect is severely worse and less nhl certainty than a pick at 18/19 try a different team

Considering that Winnipeg is due to pick up the Florida first from Montreal, heck yeah, the Jets should do this.


FYI, the post-Seattle-expansion-draft chart I have says that the seconds themselves are equal to the 18th or 19th overall.
