The overages are already against the cap. You can remove that 4.5 million

Canes pass. Carolina's backend consisting of Skjei, Pesce, Slavin, Burns already cements the top four. That's way too much for a bottom pairing guy.

Can't see any interest in Hall for the Jackets. They need center and LD help, not winger help.

Selling low on Hall to give this contract to Domi is a bad choice. Lohrei and Beecher probably too aren't ready.

2nds is not underselling on Hall. Domi is not as good skill wise, but fits a 3rd line roll better than hall does..

Well there is going to be kids up in the lineup next year, Beecher most fits the shoes of Nosek, and Lohrei im sure will get a look

Yes, it is. Keep Hall, play him with Pastrnak, get his production back up and you will get more. Domi is awful defensively and certainly not better offensively. On top of that, it's a high-risk, low reward contract for an inconsistent player.

They could both get a look but not at the start of the season. Also, Merkulov needs to be with offensive-minded players and playing more than 8 minutes otherwise AHL is better for him. Rather have him on the 3rd line than Domi.

Ottawa has no space for Mike Reilly.
