Montreal isn't getting Pierre-Luc Dubois for free, They'll either have to pay Winnipeg or another team that PLD is traded to.

And there's no way Barclay Goodrow waives for Montreal.

I think the point of the "free" is cause they wait and sign him as a FA. Therefore they don't have to trade for him

I just don't see that happening though, Montreal will either have to deal with Winnipeg. Or if PLD is traded to another team as a one year rental. That other team will want something for him. Very doubtful that PLD makes it to free agency.

Doubting Goodrow would waive for Montreal. Don't know you consider PLD is "free". You paid him 8.275m. Gee, maybe 8.275m can be spend better.
