If Michkov is available at 5th then it makes more sense for the Habs to keep the pick and select him than ruin the cap and still not be a playoff team

Also, from the wild's perspective, they are competing now, not rebuilding. So trading away their top scorer for a prospect they won't see for at least 3 years doesn't make any sense neither.

There is absolutely no way TB can take Edmundsons cap hit only way this happens is with 50%/50% retention.
Needing to sign 4 fowards and a backup goalie after this trade. TB would have $5,225,000 cap space and need to sign both Colton and Jeannot not possible.
