You could probably get Gibson for a lot less than that but I don’t see him wanting to be in Chicago I think he wants to be on a contender

That's a grab bag of bottom 6 and bottom pairing players, what would Anaheim want to do with ANY of that?

We decline, Gibson is not available.

With all due respect, Del Mastro is shaping up to be a stud. He would be the true target in this trade. The other three we could live without. So would Del Mastro and 2024 2nd and 3rd round picks be enough? Probably not from your perspective and I doubt the Hawks do this trade either. They're not moving future pieces for a seasoned goalie.

So you think that a 20-year-old kid without a single game in the NHL who is "shaping up to be a stud" plus a future second and a future third gets you a starting goalie with four seasons' term? Because you're not going to be paying a BACKUP goalie $6.4 million per season four times, are you?

Tinordi is 31 and Dickinson is 28. At most, each is worth a sixth-round pick, and I'm being generous. Hardman may not have a future in the NHL. Del Mastro isn't threatening the jobs of Jackson LaCombe, Pavel Mintyukov or Olen Zellweger, so although he may or may not have a future in the NHL, it wouldn't be with Anaheim.

What an awful evaluation of player, context and term.

My intent was never to value Gibson so low and I think my point wasn't very clear. Gibson is worth more than that to the right team. That team isn't the Hawks though. They're still in the accumulating stage of the rebuild, but maybe in a couple of years they make a trade for a starter if none of their young guns pan out. I agree Dickinson and Tinordi have very little value and Hardman isn't an NHL caliber player so it's Del Mastro and two picks for Gibson. That's not enough to get him but it's also not a trade the Hawks make simply due to rebuilding. Hope this comes off a bit more clear.
