You aren’t hearing what I’m saying. I didn’t say Olf has been a PP specialist with Buffalo. I’m saying he would have to be on the Canes. Respectfully to Buffalo who is making strides as a team, but their 5v5 game is not the same as the Canes.
@Caniac555 you certainly know your team better than I.
Buffalo should not trade Olofsson for anything less than a second as I know Olofsson better than you.
During his Sabre career he has scored 9.5% of all of Buffalo's goals.
This is a broken record, but ONLY 55 forwards scored more goals than he last year and ONLY 16 scored faster than his 1.6g/60.
As
@BUFF36 correctly observed he is no longer a PP specialist and he will find the open areas to score no matter who is on the ice with him.
There are four reasons he is listed in so many Buffalo trades: Kulich, Savoie, Rosén and Östlund.
It is significantly easier to teach a player to play defense than to improve their wrist shot.
In two years, the Canes may be looking at picking up Olofsson as a gift, as he learns to play defense, just as Jeff Skinner was Carolina's gift to Buffalo five years ago.
Jeff has become a 200 foot forward and a pt/gm player this year.
Victor is not being traded because he is worth little as IMO even a second is a gift but instead defense will improve with Granato as his HC.
So let's agree that Carolina may not become his new home.
Well there is my cent and a half sticking my nose into other peoples convesations.
