Could says no/ Marchand says no/ Bergeron doesn’t resign if Marchand is gone.

Don’t want rutta or graves. Bert is nice but if we are saving cap might as well cut ties with him and let a young guy take his spot.

Ullmark probably also says no and no shot Ottawa gives up pinto+ it would have to be 1 for 1

I added in bergy last minute but you are right he probably doesn't return without Marchy. However Bert is not old.

You didn't even consider other teams cap situations at all here

I know he isn’t old but I’d rather give reps to guys like McLaughlin/ steen also why is lysell on the 4th line. Just a really confusing ACGM.

Freddy is starting to breakout give him better minutes, I like bert but if we are going young and cheap so we can splash in the 24 and 25 UFA’s I’d rather save for a matthews/ aho/ lindholm/ rantanen and then fill the whole that our young guys can’t from there

See I think for Ullmark he would be. Now it would probably be just straight up.

just no world where it makes sense for Ottawa. Even if he weren’t in the “not available except for in the event of an obscene overpay” category, which he is, he’s also basically the entirety of the Sens bottom 6, present and future. Then Ullmark’s cap hit would probably mean losing DeBrincat too. and there’s just no way that the Sens can bring in Ullmark in exchange for losing Pinto and DeBrincat and expect to be better. Goaltending isn’t that much of a concern and Ullmark isn’t enough of a sure thing for that

Not sure why Bruins fans are all trying to make Shane Pinto trades work, but it's never gonna make sense for Ottawa. They can't replace him internally, and an equivalently good 3C will cost more to sign than Pinto, without any of the upside of him being a 22 year old coming off his rookie season.

because every website about off season need indicates the Ottawa needs a goalie. B's have a surplus at goalie. Ottawa hasn't been able to sign Pinto long term indicating that he's movable.

Lol the offseason hasn't even started yet, and they're in the process of selling the team. Of course they haven't signed him, what are you talking about?

Pinto can't even be offer sheeted, Ottawa has all the time in the world to sign him.

He's an RFA this offseason, so yes he can be offer sheeted

what do you know, you're right. Still Ullmark for pinto should get the job done, if the bs need to include one the picks they get from the other trades so be it. Bs desperately need a good young center and the senators need a goalie.
