Might need to make it a higher price for Crouse especially within the division. He brings something that few can bring to the game, much like a budget Tom Wilson.

So why can't the Leafs just buy him out or bury him instead of wasting assets?

COL has zero interest in a guy like Asplund, like the idea of Foote though especially if they trade one of their dmen.

I am not so sure, judging by how good Woll has been, maybe we don't even need Samsonov and we keep Murray to backup Woll. Then we can get assets for Sammy and ride out Murray.

The Weegar trade doesn't make sense for Calgary. I like Fabbro, but Weegar could yield a better return elsewhere.

That's fair, I just don't like Asplund and was looking for the first chance to ship him out, either way he was traded as RFA rights and wouldn't take any cap space, he didn't really impact the trade, I figure it could've gone through with or without him.

I see it as getting more contract length and getting younger which is something the Jets might want as it's looking they're headed into a rebuild. I feel the value is fair for what is essentially a rental, Dillon can resign with WPG after the season if he's inclined to return to a rebuilding team.

Why I am not sold on Sammy is the odd bad goal he's let in this post season. Those are killers, Woll so far hasn't let in a bad goal this season.

Fair enough, that being said I feel the value is fair as your getting a semi promising defensive prospect and a solid TWD as well as a second and third round pick. That being said, with the new contract the flames signed him to I could definitely see their reluctance to move him.

I agree, and if anything I was thinking of either converting the 4th to another 2nd or converting the original second to the oilers first.

Nah Weegar has been one of the best 2-way defensemen in the league for a few years now and will likely continue to be for quite a few more. He is a fantastic defenseman and even though I am a fan of Fabbro he wpuld bot be the centerpiece to land Weegar
