Not enough return for Debrusk.

Too much of a return for Ullmark.

"Massive Overpay"- maybe a difference of 200K. Whatever man. Maybe we can get more for DeBrusk, maybe we won't get as much for Ullmark. It evens out- the whole principle is a projection of what the Bruins roster will look like next year, and I think it could look something like this.

Makes zero sense for the blues. We give the better player for an AHL depth piece and we retain salary. Lol blues don't even answer the phone

More likely a difference of a couple hundred thousand on each and wasted contracts on Stralman.

Frederic is more in the $2-2.5M AAV range and that might be generous as he couldn't carry his regular season momentum into the postseason. No way does he $3M+ on his next deal as an RFA unless he's offer sheeted. ~$800k - $1.5M in savings

Lauko another RFA... should be closer to $950k ~$550k in savings

Foligno not worth more than vet minimum at this point give the younger guys a chance to play on the 4th line ~$550k in savings

Hathaway is a valuable 4th liner but like Acciari and Lazar before him, someone is likely to pay him more. I don't think Bruins would extend beyond $1.5M for him and they have younger/cheaper options in the system they should probably give a look to ~$400k - $1M in savings

Don't see Vrana/Roy as a fit for the Bruins would rather use the money saved to bring back one of Bertuzzi/Orlov and go younger in the bottom 6

Could you explain the reasoning behind why the Blues would consider this?

Genuinely curious. Steen is 25 and hasn’t solidified himself as an NHL player. Granted he’s been blocked by a really talented group. But still.

Those are overpayments indeed

That might be a fair trade for JD, but i would greed for more if im Sweeney

Ullmark return may be reasonable tbh, swap Roy with a prospect?

That DAL trade is brutal for BOS and the oppposite for STL trade, why would they do that
