No but physicality does. When half of your team is under 6’0” they’re going to be dominated by teams like Minnesota, Edmonton, Vegas, Colorado, etc. The Ducks are all ready a smaller team and having a big player like Fantilli on the roster will do us much better than a guy like Caufield

And what’s the deal? I thought Canadians fans thought Caufield was the next Martin St. Louis? Did y’all give up on him that quickly?

Did you maybe not notice a theme for all the players Verbeek drafted in his first draft? They were all 6' plus. Size doesn't win hockey games, but it allows the player to make it through the full 82 game season.

Caufield has the talent, but he's already had a major injury on his ELC and he wants a big money deal. The defenseman doesn't compare to the three studs we already have on left, and another undersized playmaking forward aren't convincing us to drop from 2 to probably the bottom of the first round.

If you want 2OA, it's going to take 5OA +++
