Hard to disagree with the Chicago move but I would think they would want a pretty good prospect in return for Karel along with DeSmith and a pick, the 2nd may not even be a high enough pick for a goalie who played well behind that Arizona team.

Idk that Petry waives for Chicago... imagine he wants to be on a team that's trying for playoffs

No thanks on Pius Suter, better three C options.

Don't think Chicago should accept that but I don't think petry would waive for Chicago anyways.

Pens arnt competitive as is anyway. Also his original motivation for the trade was wanting to be closer to him, which is in Michigan. West coast and Canada is probably his list along with usual suspects in AZ

Monahan could work instead of Suter, insert who you like.

Petry only has a 15 team no trade after all:
7 Canadian teams, AZ, LA, Ana, SJ probably all for sure. After that it’s kinda random and maybe based on taxes?

I'd pass on both of these trades - especially the Arizona one. Pens are losing both in my opinion.

Hawks probably decline. I think they value Murphy more than a 5 spot jump up in the 1st round. I agree Petry probably would waive for Chicago, but Murphy's style of play - stay at home, physical, shot blocker - is more of what Hawks want with all the young D that figure to play in Chicago next year.
