Definitely not keeping Bratt over Meier. We can easily keep both, it's a matter of how much.

Detroit passes, not offering that much for Timo Meier who's probably going to cost us 8 x $8,500,000 if not closer to 8 x $9,000,000. Pass big time.

Wings have the money for him that's what a scoring winger costs in the NHL and Detroit is nearing a position where they have to add scoring pieces and go for a playoff run.

Especially with Bratt not playing as well in playoffs and later regular season as he did early, brings the price down. It really doesn't become an issue until they start getting above 18 mill combined, and even then it just means worse depth (such as not bringing back one of Haula/Tatar, or going cheaper on 3RD)
