Horvat needed to strike while the iron was hot in the middle of a career season, matthews could miss all of next year and every team will still throw $13m at him, not even close to the same situation. Either he wants to come in free agency or he doesn’t, but Arizona isn’t spending 3 1sts, a top 15 prospect in the game, and a 2nd

Matthews is a 1 year rental for any team that trades for him and he should be priced as such. If anyone thinks that he is going to fetch three x 1st rounders + a 2nd rounder + a top prospect: they are dreaming.

Matthews is worth a 1st and a 2nd as a rental player. Teams saw the playoff production.

That’s not even enough for TK lol let alone retaining half his contract, try adding another 1st to that trade if we are retaining that much
