Unfortunately, I think he's looking for more and Avs got major cap problems, but I think MacKinnon might be the better fit for this Leafs roster.

i don't see how the wild could do this trade. they do need a dumba replacement but at 5m they could probably just resign dumba. if they did this trade they now need to go find someone to fill in as their top line center next season with less cap space. and why are the wild adding the pick to balance out the value?

Yea nah the minny deal is awful for minny. For a team with no cap and good rd…. That’s bloody awful. Throw in a lot more to clear a contract

No chance the Avs trade you Mac - who has one of the best PPG averages in the playoffs ever and has his name on the Cup - for Matthews who not only hasn't done any of that, he's going to ask to be paid even more than Mac. Nice wishful thinking but, Avs decline.
