Vegas is going to be in Cap Hell for a bit. They’d have to move like almost half their roster to afford Matthews. I think any team willing to do anything to get Matthews is Arizona.

Think you're correct. Teams that acquire Matthews would have to send cap back to the Leafs. Leafs get three serviceable players in return and a first. The only way I see the Leafs getting much more in a trade is at TDL when Matthews cap hit isn't as severe. But good thought on your post
