Tavares out

Team: 2023-24 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: May 13, 2023
Published: May 13, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Orlov brings that type of game they’ve been missing with Muzzin but puts up more offence and plays the power play. o’Reilly plays a better defensive game than Tavares with better speed, although less offence, and is also capable of playing power play. The core 4 needs to change, Tavares seems like the guy that’s out. Should have never signed him for that money, handcuffed a team that was already cap wise very tight. Murray moves on and off LTIR till his contract finishes

Crouse is not on the trade market and even if he was it would take more than a mid prospect and a second.

No one will want Tavares, but I like that finally a Leaf fan on here actually wants to improve the d core. Everyone else seems ok with Rielly, McCabe, Brodie, Lilly as a top 4, which is delusional

No. Johnny PJs isn't waiving his NMC for any team. Coyotes laugh at the Crouse trade.

Tavares NMC. You wont get max value anyways. Unless the new management goes full on rebuild, he won't be re-signed.

Both Tavares and the Wings say HELL NO

Bill Armstrong pulls a rib muscle laughing so hard before hanging up. That trade is so awful for AZ.

Florida doesn't have the cap to take on Brodie

How about add Niemela in the trade to Arizona?

Tavares will cost Detroit 7 million in salary, he had 36 goals and 80 points in 80 regular season games. 7 million ain’t bad these comments about Leafs paying Detroit to take Tavares is pure stupidity. It’s a lottery protected first as well, O’Reilly was traded to Toronto for first round pick on a bad offensive season on an expiring contract. Please pay attention to what actually goes on in the league before posting.

The answer is no, he's not even a center anymore, every single person says he needs to be a winger at this stage of his career. You can keep his cap hit and struggle, wings aren't getting saddled with it unless you pay us to take him and that's really it

Leaf fans. LTIRobertson has zero value. His only value is if he can beat Murray to IR

The real money isn't the issue in Detroit it's the cap they aren't taking an $11,000,000 hit ,and he isn't waing his FULL NMC show me one spot I or anyone in this actually said anything about paying to take him. If anyone needs paying attention sir it is you.. I'll put it really simple for you there isn't a thing they can do but Buy Tavares out if he says No. If they do that with his contract structure they barely save enough to sign a league minimum contract to replace him . So, like it or not until his contract ends he's a leaf.

They have issues retaining people he wants to be there his contract is phenomenal they want a grotesque overpay to move him that's not that.

Sorry pal, all of the top Leaf prospects are mid B and C tier prospects. Even Matty Knies, although he has potential to raise his stock to A tier. Toronto just does not have the assets to force the trade of a player that AZ wants to keep long term. The only real Toronto assets are roster players, there are going to be some tough choices ahead for the Leafs.

I said Detroit wouldn't take on his 11 million dollar cap hit.
