Nope. Mercer and Meier are key core pieces that are all but untouchable

Leafs accept for sure. I was thinking about a Meier for Marner type of deal today.

I doubt Mercer is involved though. His value would be very high also.

Meier + 2023 2nd for Marner (no retention)? Something on those lines.

Not even close. Both these players are untouchable and are gonna be key pieces for the better part of the next decade. Devils wouldn’t be interested in Marner and his contract; Nylander could be a different story if contract talks go South with Bratt

No appreciation of how good Mercer is. Mercer should be entitled to at 5m, the same year and then you have 4m raises to Matthews and Nylander.
