As far as him wanting or not wanting to be in Detroit. I can not speak to that, but his GF and his baby are here, his uncle lives here, last I knew and he played i the system and grew up here, for a better part of his life.

I know the hidden agenda that Detroit is a bad place, but players seem to like it here. Good Organization, Good fanbase, and not that bad of a place to live.

Also the fact that very few (if any) players actually live IN Detroit and people seem to ignore the fact that majority of players in the NHL live in a nearby city and rarely the city the arena is in. Player's don't want to live in "X" VERY rarely has any legs to it, regardless of market.
