    Defence looks very good. Goaltending is very good. Forward group is mediocre to the max. Islander really need at least one super star forward added to that group. One star at forward at minimum.

    Use the Engvall money + either the Graves or Clifton money on a forward upgrade.

    Johnson is 1 year into a 4 year deal.... It will cost more to take both. The 2nd probably justifies Baileys dump

    Lou should be calling about Marner or Nylander from Toronto for sure. See if something can be worked out there. Or call Calgary to check up on a guy like Lindholm. Maybe a guy like Guentzel from Pitsburgh as well.

    Or they could try to go for Kane or Tarasenko as UFA's.

    Long shot of calling Winnipeg also, to see if PLD or Ehlers or one of their big guys might be available also.

    His contract can be buried without penalty and Bailey‘s actual salary is lower than his AAV. Imo the isles shouldn’t even have to move a pick in this draft to dump either guy. Use the 2025 2nd instead.

    Johnston can be buried in the AHL for zero cap hit or just used a fourth line place holder for $1.1 million per year. Really not that big of a deal

    Graves will get more than 4M per
    Not signing Engvall to that contract. Rather use that money for a better forward FA.

    Thats fine, he can be taken out of the deal. Happy to agree on the 25' 2nd for Bailey also.
