    Donato's a UFA, so he's not adding any value for NSH here. Still, I like it for NSH. Six 1sts over a three year period would be sweet.

    Why would the caps trade kuznetsov, a first, and their top prospect and take back two players they don’t need along with wright?

    was prepared to get really mad until I saw wright going back to WSH lmao. I think they would have to consider it especially if they could find a taker for driedger. Also, since all of the players have 2 years left just cut the retention on all of them

    Pretty much this. Driedger and Wennberg are basically worthless and even worse to Washington. The Capitals are trading three of the four best assets in this trade and the one good asset Seattle is trading is not enough.

    I would prolly do the trade without the retention for the caps.

    Wennberg and Dreiger dont really bring much to the table for the caps so retaining half of Kuzys contract, sending McMike, and a 1st is too much for Shane Wright
