Yeah, can't imagine them trading him, within division especially, for futures.

Savoie is a nice prospect. But in a perfect world he becomes what Marner is in 4 years. That’s a risk the Leafs aren’t willing to take, or wait for. Nor do they need to.

Buffalo would be as stupid to make this trade as Toronto would be to say no.

Savoie holds no value but at least the 2023 first round pick is ok. Leafs easily pass

Savoie is a very good prospect. Still not close to Marner in value.

He doesn't entice me. Until he's in the NHL, I see no value. Leafs should be looking for 20/21 year olds who are on their ELCs with production in the NHL level and use the cap space they get from the trade in free agency. I really hope who ever is in charge doesn't go after a 30 year old guy or something

He’s not very big but he’s super talented. He’s better than Shane Wright. He has high-end upside. That said, so do many prospects, but few pan out. He would be the Leafs top prospect but still not someone you deal a 99 point Selke finalist in his prime for.

We went with the small route, look at Nick Robertson. Got hit once and was out for the year and it wasn't the first time. Trading Marner for a guy like Savoie would be embarrassing

Brayden Point is pretty small. Jack Hughes, Kucherov, Kaprisov, Gaudreau… you shouldn’t scout with a tape measure.
