Buffalo trade only makes sense by giving Comrie a fair shake someplace else, they need to offload goalies not swap for new ones.

    You have to be trolling

Edit: You literally have one center on the roster

Please explain your Buchnevich offer. Tell us why the Blues accept such a thing. I'm really quite curious.

Huberdeau is a center, and I probably should've traded Mangiapane instead of Dube.

Because they're getting picks for a retool? Let me know what more it needs. Always looking to improve the trades.

Huberdeau hasn't played center since Junior, if he even did then. Even Buchnevich has tried out center this past year and did it well. Buchnevich trade is the worst of the bunch though. That would never happen.

Until Blues commit to a FULL REBUILD, Buchnevich is entirely unavailable, especially for a weak offer like that. He's arguably our best player.

You'd probably have to throw in a better prospect than Gilbert. (Who is kind of more of an AHL tweener at this point) And up a draft pick or two. Those are my thoughts anyway.

What cap space do the Rangers use to pay Kadri?

Hell if you’re going to give Kadri away retain more and COL will give you a 1st.

That’s a pick that’s presumably after 60 next year and a 5th. Buch is a PPG 200 ft player on a bargain of a contract for two more seasons.

I highly doubt the Blues would consider moving him this offseason, there’s no reason to. If they did it would almost assuredly have to include your first and then a young center they like with upside and probably another first on top of that.

Next off-season is where it would make a bit more sense if the team doesn’t bounce back.

There’s a world where a blockbuster may make sense centered around Hanifin but given the extra season on Buch and Hanifin expiring I’d imagine there would need to be an add on as I don’t see Hanifin staying on a cheap contract

Okay, well Buch is a main piece of the retool, so he's not available. And if he was, this offer is waaaaaaay light. You'd need to look at what Horvat got, and then do better than that.

Avs won't likely give up a 1st for Backlund.
