Kozak is defensive center. He has legit shot to play on 4th line and PK in the future for Sabres, in 2-3 years.

I doubt Sabres would trade him. There are other lower tier prospects, who may not have a chance to break the roster.

Should he be? No, but GMs don’t love small wingers who are below average skaters

Benson being there at 12 would be ~less shocking~ than Wright or Savoie being picked at 4 and 9 last year

Kozak is the type you don’t judge based on points. He’s absolutely on track to be a good nhl 4C, or a David Kampf type. Those guys are valuable.
