Description
If we can’t move any $ such as Granlund, Petry, Carter, Rust, etc then we’ll have to do the best we can…
Definitely buy out Granlund if we can’t trade him
We don’t have many good tradeable assets so we’ll have to shop wisely in free agency and not overpay
Target some bounce back players

Vegas declines that trade quickly. Seattle says no and so does Winnipeg.

The first thing you need to do is give Jarry a better contract. There are teams out there who will definitely top that by a decent margin.

Stevenson ain’t going nowhere. George McPhee pick in Washington. He’ll be resigned. I’m betting a 5x5 next year

I’m kind of fed up with him only showing flashes or talent and being hurt like 5 times in the year isn’t helping his case… he’s the new Matt Murray except he was never even as good as peak Murray…
I’m all my posts I’m offering reduced salary, 1 year deals because I rlly don’t think as Gm I would give more than a year or 2 and 3-4 M tops… I don’t think he has much value as a trade piece unless someone wanted to get a jump on free agency but honestly if he wants 6x6 then I don’t even bother returning his agents calls

Literally just moving rutta to a random team
Idk 🤷‍♂️
Also is garland as bad as some people say? Like would Vancouver have to pay someone to take his contract?

I get that, but there's a whole lot of distance between 1x3 and 6x6. I'm not suggesting to give him the moon.

That would be a very fair deal. Steph is one of my favorite players of all time, and he easily cracks the list for top 10 most underrated players in the league.

The main issue for me is term… and the team is already in enough cap issues… I don’t rlly believe in Jarry as a long term true #1 even tho the potential is there… 2x4M and change is the max I would do but as you said someone will def give more

Garland is a buzz saw he is an energy player, honest player. He is not a top six forward really good third liner but he is over paid and should be traded along with a pick. The debate is how high of a pick will it take.

Spot on analysis Remo. Seems like in my limited viewing, he could be a serviceable #5 or #6 guy on a second line if he was playing with the right linemates.

I hear ya. Hey, 2x4 might do it, man. It's reasonable and he can play to going for a term deal once the cap has risen 8M.

You've really undervalued Stephenson and Hague......certainly not worth trading for one year of Guentzel.

For me, Garland is a damn good player. Forecheck fiend, gets back on D and can solidly produce with good linemates. The issue is who can afford 5M for him? He's a perfect win now player, but most win now teams have little cap or just have a loaded winger stable already. Paying 5M for a 3rd line winger is not a luxury many contenders can afford.

Need him to before I get the jersey. I’ve been Gun shy, as soon as he does I will. Maybe for the winter classic 🤔

There's a large section of the Pens fanbase that thinks Jarry is terrible and due for a paycut for some unknown reason.

But yet still sign him. I think realistically he's looking at a 3x4.5ish deal
