It depends on who’s available on 11, but I like it from a Canucks perspective

I'd do that on the canucks unless someone like Benson and or michkov somehow slip to 11

No we don’t want Edmundson. He sucks and would be like 4th, maybe 5th on the left side.

Not even for free. This is the first time the pens have cap space in a long time. They can get better in free agency. They don’t need to spend 1.75 million on a defenseman that would be 8th or 9th on the depth chart.

Myers would cost a first alone tonget dumped. Just look at Monahan and Marleau. So MTL gets screwed in that situation as there isnt enough value from 11-14 to make up for Myers’ negative value

Okay, I thought you might need it but I will keep him and trade him for a third

I think Myers would cost a late second to dump so it make sense

I have a better idea about disposing of Myers' cap hit -- one on which about half a dozen Ducks and Canucks fans have agreed:
1. Vancouver pays Myers' $5 million signing bonus in the summer.
2. Vancouver trades Myers and the Canucks' 2024 third round draft pick to Anaheim for the Ducks' 2024 sixth round draft pick.

I have already discussed about this with a pens fan. A lot of them agree with that proposal.

Some fans may agree but I doubt Verbeek will. He should ask for atleast a third to take 6 milions on the cap. Cap space is very valuable. I also don’t understand why Myers would take a fourth to dump but Peterson needs at least Turcotte.

Vancouver declines. As has been previously mentioned, both Vancouver and Anaheim fans are in agreement of a deal along the lines of Myers + a 3rd/4th after his bonus is paid. Vancouver won't be interested in moving pick 11 to dump Myers and if that's what other GM's are insistent of, then they'll just keep Myers and move him at the deadline 50% retained for a pick.
