Wait so the offer sheet of 11.5 is literally for the one year and then re-signing Timo for 8.25?

NJ easily says yes. MTL would be crazy to give up that much with the risk of losing him after year one when he's UFA eligible. Timo says no to the extension because he could get more as a UFA

all of these UFA/RFA contracts are garbage.
Y would Kent Hughes sign Caufield to basically the most he could ask for, AND walk him to UFA?! Dubois' is even worse, then Meier is just wtfridge...
