Fitz mentioned that he'd look at ways to get back into the first round. I think bundling Yegor and the Devils 2nd rd pick could be a legitimate way to make that happen. I could see Colorado or Columbus being decent targets for that type of deal.

I've had that Ullmark trade on a few of my Bruins rosters and been told by bruins fans that it's not enough and told by Devils fans that it's too much lol. That's how you know it's probably fair.

Boston and Toronto are proof that loading up and spending the farm for a playoff run simply isnt worth it.

Id be good with that as a bruins fan, the depth behind will get thin Lindholm/Carlo/McAvoy with the subsequent moves the bruins will likely have to make.

Keller has 5 years of control and Ullmark has 2. Neither are rentals really

      2020 Lightning? Coleman and Goodrow?

Toronto didn't load up. They made lateral moves and still didn't address some weaknesses.

Adding O’Reilly, McCabe, Schenn and Lafferty is loading up more so than TB adding Coleman and Goodrow.

Lafferty is a 4th liner. Schenn is a 3rd pair D. McCabe replaced Muzzin. They added depth and slightly improved but didn't load up.

I'm under the impression the mustache is a sentient being perfectly capable of getting on a plane to Newark by itself. As for where to put it...

Right on man. It's a very interesting idea for both parties.
Bruins get two young roster players (Gritsyuk might do another year in Russia though) at no more than 2.5m AAV for the next 2-3 years.
And while it'd hurt to part with Bahl and Gritsyuk, neither are ture core pieces for this Devils team and their prospect pipeline is more than capable of providing current (and future) 3rd pair Ds and middle 6 fwds on ELCs.

I think Bahl would complement the Bruins D core very well going forward and given that he'll be 23 at the start of next season he'll still have some runway left to develop further.
Same can be said for Gritsyuk.

I think so to, I'd want the Devils to heavily consider this if offered and especially so if they could find a reasonable trade with some either team for a Vanecek deal.
Ullmark's 2 years is the perfect term for Schmid to refine his game getting 30-35 starts a season backing Ullmark up before emerging as a true starter.

You think Topias is ready next year?

3 years of experience playing senior hockey in Finland while also being one of the better players in the league so I think there's a very good chance he could be what Bahl was for us this year.
Besides, uncle Brendan is there as a safety net in case Vilén does need to work on his game in Utica.
I'm a big believer in Vilén and Walsh both and between them and Smith I think the Devils should have every opportunity to ice a league average 3rd pair on any given night in the 23/24 season.

That's not what I'm suggesting though.
Between Nemec, Casey, Clarke, Filmon, Daws and whoever the Devils end up drafting in the 1st rd the non rostered pipeline is still very strong.
And given how young the Devils core players are, and that Keller will have 5 years of term left there's plenty of time to replenish that prospect pool in subsequent years.

Jackets decline. Need at least a 3rd rounder and middle-6 wing to start the conversation on the mustache.

Sharks have no beef with Bruins. They gifted us the best passer of this generation. Lol

And thats not Sam Elliot or Tom Sellick or Rollie Fingers stash so it can’t be worth a cup on its own! Had to be holtz potential sold out of his body for next years cup
