Description
Shanahan mentioning that they are "unlikely" to move the core four makes it very complicated. But the team is still really good. Its not like they're going to fall apart before they lose in the first round of the playoffs so making a good team isn't the question, its trying to change the identity. Which is very difficult and I don't think I was successful.

There's no incentive for Winnipeg to give 3 players, a pick and retain to get a cap dump and nothing player in return.

WPG gets rid of Wheeler with retention that costs them less than the Buyout, they get rid of Stanley who is an annoying Pylon, Harkins gets a chance which he deserves and... WPG gets a veteran role model leader in Brodie and a who knows in Abruzzese.

Brodie is FAR less of a cap dump than Wheeler. Brodie is far more valuable than Wheeler. I'm a WPG born WPG JETS fan for life and even I know Brodie is far more valuable.

I would agree. Even if the playoffs was an indication that his game dropped off, he would get 4M easily as if he were an ufa this year. As for Wheeler, 5.5M would probably be the max for what he brings if we are being generous.
