Necas outproduced DeBrincat... wrong side adding here. Brannstrom holds no value and Thomson is nice, but I'd rather have the 70 point winger with game breaking speed that is younger, cheaper, and doesn't have a 9 million dollar QO than a 60 point winger and a D prospect.

Brannstrom is def good. Posted real good analytics on pair 3 on both ends of the ice. Probably ready for a higher role

Debrincat isn’t a 60pt winger. He had a downyear and was playing without Norris

This was also the first year he wasn't getting feeds from Patrick Kane... nothing drastically changed for Cat this year. His value has decreased. Necas straight outproduced and his younger, and is cheaper, etc etc...

Respectfully, good for him. Is he better than Burns? No. Is he better than Pesce? No. Is he better than Slavin? No. Is he better than Skjei? No. So he'd be a 3rd pairing D man... it doesn't change anything for the Canes. I also don't know if I'd say he's ready for a higher role, but I get the point about the decent analytics.

Would be a tough call for the canes. I really like Necas, and him with DeBrincat would be dynamite. I know Ottawa is probably looking for a nhl ready winger who can play in place of DeBrincat. I'd be looking to move Teravainen first in that situation if Ottawa were willing to do it. Not really on the same level as Necas, but the canes would probably upgrade either the 2nd to a 1st?

I would be all over this if the Canes 1st round pick was like around the 15-20 range tbh . I like turbo would also need to negotiate a deal with him too, wouldn’t pay him over 6 per tho

You can't look at Debincat's down year and say that's who he is as a player and at the same time look at necas's first big year and say that's who he is. Debrincat is a two-time forty-goal scorer in the right system, and necas has yet to break the thirty threshold. The canes need some long-term surefire offense up front and they might see Cat as that guy. Also, I love Necas not a dig at his ability, just think both teams find a fit here
