Leave it to a Vancouver fan, who thinks they are doing Chicago a favor by helping them get to the cap floor, and making Chi pay for the privilege.
It has nothing to do with what team a person is a fan of.. that’s a horrible deal for Vancouver. Boeser can get a solid return by himself. They’ll be suitors for Myers by the deadline because of his contract. And the Canucks won’t have to move a 1st rounder in either deal and they’d gain assets. What do they gain here?
Actually, all these deals are bad for any team not named Chicago.
Pens say nah, another Chicago ACGM gave us 19 and two seconds for 14 and Granny. Already accepted that one.
Interesting, the statistical numbers say not to do that with the remaining cap for a negative value player (in relation to contract) we will see on 28 June.

The only one I question is the Pitts one. yes the pick is valuable, but the contract value is negative. I mentioned it in the write up, if they would accept Dal 2025 2nd.

I don’t recall who made that ACGM, but I do remember a bunch of Pens fans, myself included, enthusiastically accepting, haha.

Might have been me. I made an experimental one recently that was VERY generous, using the link below to determine the trade value of picks and added sweeteners. But it wasn't exactly serious. I must have just been in a giving mood. haha.
But, this draft is different because of the depth and level of talent. So, I'm not sure this or any of the other pick valuation tools are really applicable to this years draft.

I figure not, maybe if there is another piece added.
We need quality now, we’ve got a billion picks as it is. It was the main driving force to trade chychrun to Ottawa in the first place, that was always projected to be the highest available 1st
Brock Boeser is not a cap dump. 0.78 PPG player in his career. Thats over a 60 point pace. 1 year of Myers is not worth downgrading the pick. This doesn't help Vancouver. They can just wait Myers out and keep the good player and better pick
