Parayko will only waive for Edmonton.

Detroit accepts.

2 1st is too much for bigot and locker room cancer Ivan Provorov.

Detroit passes. Detroit isn't going to take on almost $12M in cap for a couple of 2nd rd picks.

To unload on Chiarot plus get 2 2nd round draft picks in a deep draft. Yeah Krug makes 4 x $6,250,000 but with the salary cap rising dramatically in the next 2-3 years it doesn't matter And Krug is still at least a 40-50 point LDH. Detroit would be insane to turn that down.

The bigger issue where would he play?

Walman
Edvinsson
Maata
Wallinder
Johansson

For a 40-50 point Torey Krug, You find the spot. He'd easily be our 2nd best Dman after Mo Seider. And it isn't even close.

There just isn't room for him honestly, no room for chariot either, but he can play the right side at least. I wouldn't mind the trade if we have room, we just don't, can't see them making the deal. Walman is to good next to Mo and Edvinsson obviously has to get a spot with his talent and size. Maata has been a stabilizing force back there, he's the only one they move but then you are paying 6.5M for a 5th dman. Can't see wings making the deal

I'd rather have the bad contract with 2 2nd rounders than the bad contract without 2 2nd rounders

If there's no room for Chairot or Krug then I'll take Krug and picks over Chairot and no picks

What I'm saying is chariot can play the right side so he makes room for himself, there is no room anywhere for krug

Krug 32 years old with 4 years at 6.5M left on his contract. 7 goals, 25 assists, -32 +/-, 49 pims, 87 blocks, 40 hits in 63 games.

Chiarot 32 years old with 3 years at 4.75M left on his contract. 5 goals, 14 assists, -31 +/- , 51 pims, 163 blocks, 147 hits in 76 games played.

So the points difference is a bit better for Krug but Chiarot brings a physical element plus blocks alot more shots. I personally think Chiarot is a pylon and I know plus/ minus isn't a great stat but he brings something Krug doesn't. Chiarot gives us more cap flexibility when we likely might need it to resign all the young players we have now. If we did this trade we might get a couple more goals but we would be even easier to play against and that contract might give us some grief in the future. If the sight increase in point production and a couple second round picks worth it? They don't make the Anaheim trade so the picks would have to be future ones unless they sent a 1st year which they aren't going to do.

Regardless of everything, chariot can play on the right and Krug can't, so I still don't see or understand where Krug would even play.

Yeah I'm on the same page, I don't think it's worth it. We are likely a cap team in 3-4 years and that deal will hurt us.

With both of them being 32 I'm just saying by the end if next season neither of those contracts are going to look very good and soon after it will be how fast can I get rid of this.

Idk, I just like Krug a whole lot better than Chairot but you're right Chairot atleast can be the third pair Rd in a pinch. If Edvinsson isn't going to be ready I wouldn't hate having Krug though for the offense and he's dynamite on the half wall on the pp.

I do like Krug more but as you said Chairot can be moved to the right side and he still plays a physical game racking up 147 hits last season. Neither player is perfect but Krug isn't worth taking on an extra $12M in cap. If STL were to split the extra cap then maybe. But I like the idea of trading for someone like Addison then move Chairot to the 3rd pair on the right.
