The only thing that's changed on the Murray contract since Toronto took is is that there isn't as long left on it. It's stil a negative asset and Toronto is gonna have to pay someone a good bit to take it. (Marleau in 17-18)

Not as relevant since the specific team doesn't matter as much, but also CBJ aren't typically the kind of team that sells cap space for picks, so taking on a deal like that for basically 0 is definitely out if the question.

Also....signing Korpi to immediately trade him lmao. No NHL team will ever do something like that. It'd completely alienate potential FA signings.
