Van pick instead of STL, which is 1 pick later, which is basically the same thing and it's accepted

Sure a deal for konecny makes a lot of sense for Detroit, idk if that's it but I'm sure they could find a deal

With his bottom 6 skill set…. Nobody’s giving a 1st for just him

You're laughing at him but he's right. This is the first year Laughton has cracked 40 points and he's a 29 year old with term. The only comparable anybody can ever seem to make for Laughton is Coleman, who had the advantage of a dirt cheap cap hit and a track record of being a 20 goal scorer (who was on pace for 30 when he was moved).

"They won't move him if a team won't pay up!" Sure, the Flyers like Laughton and I agree it'd take an offer like this to get it done, but that doesn't mean a team actually would or should pay that price for him

Sanheim's long extension is a non-starter for Columbus, who just need a stopgap til the prospects are ready in a year or two. It pains me to say this, but Provorov would be a perfect fit in that respect.

Who would you compare Scott Laughton to around the league? Are those guys worth firsts?

It's not a comparison thing, it's everything he does. He can move up and down the lineup to wherever you need him. He can play C, he kills penalties, he's gritty, he never takes a shift off. All those combined are valuable and it's not like his contract is bad.

A utility guy, not worth 1st round picks with that production

You just keep going to HockeyDB for all your decisions and I'll live in the real world where those other things matter.

There are plenty of guys in the NHL who can play up and down the lineup and try really hard. They don’t costs firsts…..and the fantasy land is the world in which production DOESNT play a factor!

Again, look at comparable and values. That’s how a lot of these things are determined

Don’t bother, Leaf’s fans think Laughton is worth a 6th round pick yet every Leaf team on here wants him on their team lol

Ya see, no they definitely did not have those guys. That's why FLA nearly swept you. Nobody that can play with the Bennett's and Tkachuks.

I see most of them pay a 1st for him on here so I won't say all but there are ones like this that use HockeyDB as their bible

GMs look at intangibles not statistics from the athletic bud. Laughton will 100% get a 1st or comparable package if he is moved.

None of ur fans want to actually pay for Provy. Most of ur fans seem to want him for basically free

They shouldn't, not after only 1 year of production.

Absolutely they do, no disputing that. Laughtons intangibles are those that just about every role playing bottom 6 forward has though. The ones that are worth firsts are the ones who also put up points

Guess we’ll just have to wait and see if the Leafs trade a first for him eh bud

This statement right here proves that you don't actually know anything about him or his game.

Yeah I disagree with this just based on the fact that ur saying Laughton is like every other bottom 6 forward cause he isn’t. Most of them just shut up and play their role. Laughton is a leader and would definitely put up more points on a better team. You forget the Flyers ask him to do everything from playing out of position, to playing on any line, to playing with any player in the line up and he always steps up for the team. He’s widely respected throughout the league way more than a random bottom 6 player

Well damn, maybe he would get a first based on respect alone
