Why are you giving away Connor Timmins for a 7th rounder?

1C and a 1RHD on a cost effective contract for a 1RW who has 1 year left and a possible top 4 d-man... If the Flames bring in Nylander, its to play with Lindholm. And they aren't trading Andersson unless its an overpay.

Yeah... But again, is it THAT bad considering how much value they both have (assuming both come with extensions)

That's a waste of 6m at centre for Monahan and Foligno. Dumba at 6.5m......way overpaid in 2023.

And please don't make traded based on extensions.......999% of the time meaningless.

Dumba is way better then Brodie and for a 1.5m difference that’s a huge upgrade

If they bring in Nylander they’re giving lindholm no one else is worth Nylander and it’d have to be lindholm +

Lol keep him then. Flames wouldn't trade Lindholm for him 1 for 1, let alone add

Nylander is 1.5 years younger and just like Lindholm has only scored 40 goals once. I won't argue that Nylander is overall a better player offensively but Liondholm plays a far more important position and is a WAY better 200ft player.

This is a very grass is greener over there way of thinking. Dumba has been decent defensively but injuries have made his offensive game take a dive in recent years. Meanwhile, Brodie has been one of the top defensive defensemen in the league the last 2 years

Yes because points are all that matter, not to mention only 1 year sample sizes too? You really think Nylander would have had 87 points after downgrading both of his linemates and playing under Sutter? Let's give an example: Here is how the leafs did when both Nylander and Matthews were on the ice together, each on the ice separately, and neither on the ice.
787OVPq.png
notice how Nylander's GF% dropped off significantly when he was away from Matthews. Now I am not saying Nylander was carried by Matthews because he wasn't but you clearly don't understand the significance of loosing players that impactful. You also clearly undervalue 2-way games and the difference between centers and wingers

Vegas had exactly 0 players score 30+ goals this year. Florida had 3 players score 30+ goals this year.

Toffoli is just as good of a goal scorer as Nylander. Coronato is a natural goal scorer too. Don't get me wrong I would love to add Nylander to the Flames but any conversation ends with Lindholm being asked for. Think about it this way, would you trade Matthews for Rantanen straight up? Rantanen had 20 more points this year so clearly he must be way better

So your solution is to trade their best goal scoring forward? Also Nylander isn't that much better of a scoring forward, he was better this year, but over the past 3 years he only has 11 more goals total.

Nylander to the Flames makes sense for Calgary, no one will deny that. But Nylander for Lindholm doesn't make sense for Calgary. Hanifin & Nylander as a starting point is the deal that makes sense for both teams.

Checks notes Oh right, just like Huberdeau is going home to Montreal this summer and Weegar is going to Ottawa right?

Maybe if you werent so ignorant you wouldn't have to resort to petty attempts at insults when you get proven wrong
