Pick any of the Hurricanes' prospects except Morrow or Nikishin and you have a deal but those two are untouchable

Way too much. CC is a top prospect, and Kuraly is valuable to the team as a B6 guy.

CBJ pass.

If you do Drury instead of Morrow the Canes would accept the deal I’d imagine. CBJ fans will say pass because they expect us to give them Hayes for free basically while retaining. I don’t like the LAK deal personally it feels like we don’t get a lot from it. Byfield has been brutal since being drafted and I’m not a fan of him. We take $7.65M worth of cap and retain $2M on Provy for a total of almost $10M worth of cap dumps and give away our franchise goalie while getting a good RHD prospect, a massively underperforming Byfield, and a 2nd. The more I type it out the more I hate it and thinks it’s a fleece by the Kings

Yes if you switch Drury for Morrow the canes would take that deal no doubt

Quick question, ur speaking on behalf of Canes fan base for me lol. Has Drury just not panned out like everyone thought he would or is more that the Canes are ready to contend and can use him to get a player that is more ready than him to help them contend or fill their needs? I remember him being a huge name and now I see most Canes teams trading him. I would love him on the Flyers but maybe that shouldn’t be as true now?

No, the majority of Columbus fans just don’t want Hayes. We’d take him at a possibly discounted price, but in reality we just don’t want him.

I totally get the fans don’t and I get why cause I don’t want him here either but in reality there’s a good chance he ends up a Jacket and I don’t see Briere giving him away, with retention, for nothing.

He's a solid bottom-six guy but hasn't shown anything beyond that and the Hurricanes are really ready to contend and are looking to get more talent and scoring than we currently have. He would be good on the Flyers considering where they are and he might get a chance for some top-six minutes

Why is there a good chance at it? There was one rumor from a less than credible source that Columbus was interested in Hayes at the end of the season.

If he didn’t fit with torts, he isn’t going to fit with babCock.

I agree that things changed now with Babcock, but there were multiple rumors on the flyers side all from credible people that they had a deal ready to go for the summer before Chuck got fired. So I wouldn’t say it only came from a less than credible source

Drury has been good defensively in the time he has been up, but he hasn’t really panned out offensively yet. That being said, he really hasn’t had the best opportunities on the Canes roster. I mean, just looking at centers alone, he has Aho, KK, and Staal ahead of him, as well as any middle 6 C the Canes might acquire this off-season. Plus, he has to fight with other C prospects like Suzuki, Rees, Ponomarev, and now we can add in Robidas to the mix for that roster spot on the 4th line.

I don’t think the Canes are ready to run Drury at 3C yet, and whilst he is in the Canes system, he is much more likely to be played on the wing. I think if a team, like Philly, we’re to give him a bigger role and the opportunity to grow more, he would have quite a bit more success. I just don’t see that opportunity really being there in Carolina, and I’m pretty sure other Canes fans see that as well.
