No one is trading FOR Josh Anderson. His $5.5M cap hit and (next year's) $8M salary was supposed to yield more than 24, 32, and 32 points....those are per year...not 1/2 season totals.

Even factoring in injuries hes been on a 21 goal pace over the last 3 years.

So adding injuries is supposed to increase his value???

Injuries don’t make him any more valuable. He stinks defensively, and hasn’t been on a 40 point pace since 2018/19

Ah yes, because 8 goals and 14 points in 43 career playoff games (15 goal, 27 point pace over 82 game season) who stinks defensively is worth so much more than 5.5 mil. Say what you want about physical play; you could get equivalent production and physicality from plenty of 1-2 mil players in FA
