The risk/reward is high, but the price is also pretty low. Using him to replace Olofsson would be interesting, especially if they think they can get him back to 25 to 30 goal form. But that would mean somebody else isn’t going to stick around. I’m not sure they would make that trade, but it would be hard to say no.

The Hart/TK one and the Farabee one are both a HUGE no from the Flyers

Feels like the Jackets might be out on Hayes. Working it into today's trade would have made sense if it was still as likely as people were saying a couple months ago.

I would say no to farabee. I wouldn't bother adding wingers until we get the d sorted out, rather keep the assets for that. I'm sure another team would be all over it.

Why replace olofsson who was a 25-30 goal scorer for someone you hope can become that.
I'm fine with moving on from olofsson but I'd want that to either get someone more sound defensively. Or a prospect and hope they have a higher ceiling.

The appeal with Ferabee is he is young and he has a nice long term deal already in place. We all know that Olofsson was always capable of getting 30 goals if he stayed healthy, last year he finally came close. Ferabee is more of a power forward to me, and he is still an annual 30 goal capable guy. I’m not sure they plan on putting him in the top six so that he could be successful, that’s the main reason I would say they might not do this trade if the offer were there. That and we already have lots of young forwards in the system that we may want to get a look at.
