Full win now mode with a young core and big window to contend. Still tons of young talent in the pipeline too.

I think Columbus could fairly add one more prospect to the Pettersson deal too if VAN would want Ceulemans or Chinakhov.

I don’t see Jarmo swinging that big, if I were VAN I’d say yes tho.

Why not? Jarmo loves to swing big and he’s made it clear this team needs to start winning immediately, hence the Babcock hire and Provorov trade.

Considering the last couple of moves for CBJ have been Babcock and Provorov, I don't see them ever making a good move.

Imo the jackets need middle-6 help more than anything, so likely FA is a good way to fill that out. Jenner should realistically be the 3C so maybe find a 2C on the market? I don’t see why another star 1st liner is needed with Laine and Johnny already taking up a bunch of cap (see the Toronto situation with their big 4).

Values seem fair. Just a HUGE "if" for VAN to move Petey, and I have to think they will be wanting to hold on to him at all costs. I would love this though, and think there is a chance something like this could happen this summer. Things could get crazy at the draft.

Just a matter of opinion but I think Jenner is a good 2C and think Voronkov looks like a beast. He was seasoned in Russia and should step right in as a solid 3C. This team would be hard to play against with those guys down the middle.

Also with the Petey extension, I think spending any more money on FAs would be a bad idea long-term. There is tons of good players in the pipeline.

I still think they'll get Hayes from PHI with retention for a pretty middling offer. Hes more of a playmaker 2C which helps with Laine and Gaudreau, and is a pretty fair bet for 50 pts and probably cost just bemstrom or bean and a 3rd.

But I really like your idea of provorov and zadorov being on the team together.

Meh. I’d rather just stick with Roslovic than try to take on three years of Hayes. Essentially the same production at a lower cap hit and less term commitment.

My feeling is that if we are going to trade for Center, it needs to be a top of the lineup guy like Lindholm or Pettersson. We have middle six centers. What we don’t have is a 1C.

If the Canucks get any wind of Petey not wanting to resign, I'd accept that in a heartbeat.
Very fair offer.

Value wise I could see it but Petey's extension is covered by Myers contract being up, and Pettersson is also not going to demand a trade, especially to a team lower in the standings.
