Can't see Buffalo doing that, think you would need to sweeten the deal for 13.

Too many goalies in play to give up 13oa for league average goaltending.

I don't think I agree. If anything, I consider the trade I proposed as "13OA is the main piece that really matters, but in theory Philly should probably get a little bit more for Hart". He's a very unique asset on the market who will most likely end up having a better NHL career than 13OA over the next 12 years.

That's cool, but really hasn't proven **** either to warrant that. Paying for future success isn't always good with goalie's. Especially when you already have Levi.

If he is going to be good or better then the 13th pick or as good as a 1st rd pick for next 12 years why are they trading him?

Flyers decline it anyway, not enough for Hart. Plus, you already have Levi, stop making these horrible trades.

1) The Flyers are very high on Ersson

2) A 13th overall pick allows them to better tank for Celebrini, Eiserman, Misa etc. the next couple of years. Hart actively stops that

3) Specifically with Goaltenders, you don't want to run into a situation where you put dog**** teams in front of them for so long that it wears down on them over time (see: John Gibson). I don't believe the Flyers have broken Hart at all yet, but it's a legitimate concern if you're going to continually ice borderline AHL defense groups in front of him for several years

Yeah but Sabres are real high on Levi. We don’t want Hart getting in the way. We will sign a UFA in offseason if KA wants to go that route

Yeah, I'm hoping the buffalo rumors stop soon. I think I saw that Friedman admitted that the Sabres just get mentioned for any goalies available on principle, but there's no actual reports that Buffalo is in on hart.

If I am going after a goalie and using 13, I think I would talk with Nashville on Saros.

I think that's the only goalie I would move 13 for. He's got 2 years left. Hellebuyck is going to cost too much for one year, and I want no part of his extension. None of the other goalies that I would move 13 for are available- vasilevski, shesterkin, or sorokin. And I still believe, with every fiber of my being, that the right move is to find two good, physical, defensive d, and probably a two way center to help out with d zone starts, penalty kill, and faceoffs. If you fix the d zone, you don't need Dominik hasek 1999 to bail you out.

In the past three years the Sabres have traded draft picks twice.
A third was included in the Jack Eichel trade and a late second was given up for Greenway.
@DH28Hockey it is highly unlikely that they will be trading the 13th OA this year for a GK whose SV% and W/L record over the last three years is 0.90059 and 44-57-22.
It is more likely they will just stick with Luukkonen (who is a year younger than Carter) whose SV% is 0.89808 (only .0025 lower than Carter's) and a W/L record of 20-19-6 over the same time period.

Good Post! Like 89 posted in another post. Go get a good top 3-4 D man and physical presence back there. Maybe Dallas does Olofsson for Hannkipah(spelling) and a guy that can win some Face/offs and PK a bit and play better overall team defense and let's roll.
