I assume Philly will want picks and prospects based on where they are at in their rebuild. From a Leafs perspective I am happy with this but I don't see Philly being happy here.

I also think Tavares really messes with Colorados cap even with the retention. He is worth 8.5m easily but they need someone cheaper. Otherwise your bottom 6 is barebones to the max.

Well ignoring the fact that Tavares 100% blocks that trade, this is brutal for Philly. They are trading a younger starting goaltender for a 2nd line defenseman who is paid fairly to a bit too much and then eating 2.5M cap on top of that. They get nothing in terms of futures too
