Description

Assuming a decent jump in 24-25 given all the positive news regarding league revenues. Dahlin is rumored to be all-but-finalized on a 10Mx8 contract, with Power and Mittelstadt extensions soon after. All signed a year early so they'd go into effect in 2024-25.

Going to be some juggling needed long-term, with Power's contract expiring as Skinner's does, and likewise Mittelstadt's will expire when Kulich and Savoie are looking for extensions.

Otherwise, they'll have roughly ~10M in cap space to sign: Peterka, Quinn, Levi, Kulich, Savoie, and whoever wins the 3rd pairing race (Novikov vs Johnson--or both). 3M hits in Greenway and Lyubushkin/traded-for 2RHD could be coming off the books then too. Also, Tuch will be looking for a raise right when Kulich/Savoie are getting contracts too.

I always like Joki in Chicago. I hated the trade for Nylander, but I am not sure he really fits our timeline anymore.

Jokiharju can't handle 20+ mins a night, nor play PK/shutdown defense. I'm not saying Murphy is THE guy we should go for, but in terms of skillset/contract he outlines what we need at 2RHD. Swap in for Demelo or Fabbro or Borgen, it isn't a huge deal

maybe try reading more than the trades?
