i think it would be idiotic to give up positive values for Miller considering how terrible his contract long term is.... he's going to be making 8m till hes 37 and hes already had a 17 point drop off since signing the deal? Sillinger + a possible lottery pick would be crazy

Why are you talking about a possible lottery pick ? It's two roster player for one ...

Aside from the player (not a fan of his attitude), he's on a long term deal until 37 at 8M AAV, I'm not sure that's the best idea for this team. Don't forget Gaudreau's contract as well. 5 years down the road you'll still have 17M tied up in two players in their mid 30s. There's much better options for CBJ out there.

Yeah, which one ? There's never a lot of options out there for 1st line Centers

Money wise it makes sense but VAN probably asks for Mateychuk instead of Peeke

Maybe Leo Carlsson, David Jiricek & Kent Johnson on top of Sillinger ?
Get out of here

No, it really doesn’t. Jarmo has gotten aggressive, but he’s only moved draft picks, he hasn’t move any prospects to bring in Proverov or Severson and I don’t think he will, he wants to win now, but he also wants to stay competitive for a while, not just a splash in the pan. I wouldn’t be surprised with jarmo being done for a bit with the big moves, maybe a few smaller ones but nothing major until July 1st.

I think the jackets go after Hayes or Kuznetsov as a stop gap to give carlsson/Kent Johnson/sillinger time to develop as centers until they are ready. JT Miller puts us in cap hell and will prevent the jackets from locking up Kent Johnson, sillinger, marchenko long term

So no upgrade down the middle ?
The trade might be fair but you don't think Jarmo move roster player, this is different than saying the trade isn't fair

Value wise it might be “fair” but I wouldn’t want to touch Miller, that extension is going to age very poorly. If Vancouver wanted to get that kind of return for Miller they should have traded him a year and a half ago.

Seems like something Jarmo would do, I don't mind it for Columbus.
