I'm fine with losing Berggren, but with it being reported that Ottawa they're not looking to sign-and-trade, I'm a little less willing to part with him.

And we get back most, if not all, of the value we lost to Chicago.

It will be Berggren OR the 1st, not both. Max I'd give is 17th, Kubs and a 3rd. Kubs has value for OTT next year in the top 6/9 and on the PP. If it's Berggren then add in '23 2nd and '24th 2nd.

What if there was a sign and trade?

I'd be a little more willing to part with Berggren. Wouldn't be happy, but I'd do it.
17+Berggren is fine - maybe a 4th, but preferably not.

Sign is and trade adds little value. If the Wings add him why could they not sign him for 8 years. The max you can sign a player is 7 years if he is not part of your team. But if you trade for him and then you sign him 8 years is the max. If Wi gs trade for his rights they then can sign him for 7 or 8 years.
