They have no reason to trade wilson. The only players on the caps roster that realistically are moving this off-season are kuznetsov and Mantha.

Wilson is untouchable unless it’s a severe overpay. Regardless, I can’t see Toronto making this move either.

Bert is looking for 7 mil AAV for 6-7 years according to his agent. Yzerman offered him 5 years 6 mil AAV last summer but wasn't willing to go higher. They didn't talk all season before Yzerman traded him to Boston at the trade deadline.

Man, I know Caps fans don't wanna move Wilson, but unless you think you're gonna get him extended (not sure where that sits right now), getting Nylander is insane

No, it’s not a severe overpay. Wilson is the better physical, defensive player and is also an important part of the locker room and the team identity. We’re not moving him for one year of Nylander. If we want him that bad, we’ll sign him next summer. Wilson will be extended early July.
